I Care are so thrilled with our new Charity Shop. It was amazing and inspiring watching the day to day transformation of our shop. This entire project was put together by an amazing young lady, Emma Penberthy, who is only 17 years of age. Emma and Karen (Emma’s hands on mom!), we cannot thank you enough. I think just seeing the looks of sheer amazement on our faces at the reveal showed you just how thrilled we all are, and especially Lindy, who runs the shop!

Emma Penberthy (17) is a member of the 1st Pinetown Scout Group. She joined Scouting when she was 7 years old as a Cub. She went on to achieve her Leaping Wolf at 10 and half years old. The Leaping Wolf badge is the highest badge in Cubs. When she was 11 years old she went up to Scouts and has worked through all the levels there.

She is busy working on the final and highest badge in Scouting call Springbok. Amongst other things to achieve her Springbok, she has to complete 40 hours of community service. In order to achieve this she has had to find a project, plan how to achieve the goals, arrange for the materials and workers and achieve her objectives.

We would like to thank I Care for allowing her the opportunity to work there in order for her to achieve this goal.
