Calling community members to make a change!

I Care is an NGO working to find sustainable solutions to the challenge of street children in South Africa, and we are asking the public to join us again for this year’s iDare2Share Event, taking place on the 14th of July.

We have, once again, teamed up with the Denis Hurley Centre, who focuses on the assistance of homeless adults in our society, to bring you this life changing event.

In response to feedback from last year, this year we have moved the event to the safe space of the Denis Hurley Centre’s Cathedral Mall. This is a great opportunity for our community to engage with the more vulnerable citizens among us; by sharing your time, a meal, and some music with the homeless.

Isaiah 58:7- “Share your food with the hungry,
and give shelter to the homeless.”

Gates will open from 5pm for registration.  The evening will start at 6pm, with an opening service in the Cathedral, and will end by 10:30pm, OR you have the option of SLEEPING OVER!

We ask that you aim to raise R1000, by getting your friends to sponsor you (R100 of which will be used as your admission fee); the money raised will go towards I Care and the Denis Hurley Centre, to continue the important work that we do with Durban’s homeless.

Dinner and Music will be in the Mall area.  Food will be provided, and we ask that you bring cooldrink and something sweet to share with the homeless. There will be live music performances, including John Ellis and Michael Wagner.

The Cathedral will be available during the evening for prayers, community, spiritual growth etc.

Do something daring! Help to raise money for two worthy causes, while gaining a priceless experience and a changed outlook of the less fortunate.

We look forward to sharing this experience with you!
